Prayers Needed
Jun 10th, 2010 • Section: Announcements, FeaturedFrom the Chancellor of the Diocese of the West:
On behalf of His Grace, Bishop Benjamin, I wanted to inform you that Archpriest Kirill Hartman, priest of St. John the Baptist Church in Berkeley, suffered a brain aneurism yesterday (9 June 2010). Last night, he was transferred to the California Pacific Medical Center, where he is undergoing surgery this morning (10 June 2010). The neurosurgeon will perform an angiograph of the brain. He can then decide whether to do a coiling procedure to stop the bleeding, or, if the bleeding is too extensive, whether to do a clipping procedure requiring full intracranial surgery. The investigation and procedure may last anywhere from 3 to 10 hours.
As you can see, our dear brother’s condition is very critical. Please remember him.
Also:
I wanted to pass on this update from Father Gabriel Seamore concerning Matushka Jeanette. As you can see, her condition remains serious. Please continue to remember her.
Matushka is still in the hospital suffering from a failing kidney and congestive heart failure. She has a blood clot in her leg but the doctors are unable to use heparin because she some how formed a large hematoma on the inside of her thigh. They did place a filter in the large vein leading to the heart to prevent the clot from reaching her heart or lungs. Her spirits are not as good as they were after two and a half moths in the hospital. Please continue to pray for her.
Archpriest Ian MacKinnon
