His Eminence, Archbishop Benjamin, joined the faithful of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Las Vegas for a dual celebration on the weekend of June 28-29, 2014. The parish was celebrating its patronal feastday of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and also marking the 35th anniversary of Father John Dresko's ordination to the Holy Priesthood (June 24th). His Eminence presided at beautiful services both Saturday evening and Sunday morning. A dinner buffet was enjoyed by the parish council with the Archbishop following Vespers on Saturday evening.

On Sunday, a wonderful luncheon was held following the Divine Liturgy. Following the blessing of the food, His Eminence and Father John were presented handmade leis from Rae Patterson, a parishioner of Hawaiian descent. Parish Council Vice-President Virginia Hood, on behalf of the parish, presented Father John with a photo of a full set of preistly vestments being made for him by master vestment-maker Krista West. These vestments were a pattern that Father has admired for a number of years but has never been able to order. Then Matushka Elizabeth Dresko, on behlaf of the children, presented a beautiful framed photo of Father serving with a quotation from Fr. Alexander Schmemann.
