Relics of St Christina of Tyre finds home in FREMONT, CA Parish

On Sunday March 8 relics of St Christina of Tyre found a home in the Orthodox Christian parish dedicated to her memory in Fremont, Ca.

She entered the church on the Sunday of Orthodoxy with a procession followed by a service of intercession (molieben) to St Christina. At the end of the Liturgy the faithful process around the church with the relics and holy icons. The church remained open for veneration of the relics by the faithful and pilgrims from the Bay Area until 3pm in honor of the 300+ people who converted to Christ in connection with her martyrdom (witness). At the conclusion of the day the relics were placed before the icon of St Christina on the church’s iconostasis where they now reside.

The faithful of St Christina Orthodox Church are grateful to God for this blessing and for Fr. Florin Lapustea, Preoteasa Madalina and the faithful of Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church in San Jose, Ca who helped make this possible.

Holy Martyr Christina, pray to God for us!

All those who desire to venerate St Christina’s relics are welcome to come on pilgrimage.
