Archbishop Benjamin visited Saints Peter and Paul Church, Phoenix, Arizona, for this year’s celebration of the Sunday of Orthodoxy. His Eminence joined Bishop Daniel and the clergy and faithful of Saints Peter and Paul for Vespers on Saturday evening. The day had begun with a Lenten retreat led by Father Seraphim (Aldea) of the Monastery of All Celtic Saints on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. Attending the retreat were clergy and faithful from parishes in the Phoenix metropolitan area. His Eminence presided at the Divine Liturgy of the Sunday of Orthodoxy and led the parish children in a procession following the Liturgy. On Sunday evening, Saints Peter and Paul Church hosted the inter-Orthodox Sunday Vespers for the Sunday of Orthodoxy. More than 20 priests and hundreds of faithful from the 14 local parishes gathered for the celebration which also included an outdoor procession with the Holy Icons and concluded with the recitation of the Symbol of Faith and the Synodicon. A festive meal followed the Vespers.
