Clergy Wives: Seizing the Moment to Shrink our Distance

Last summer a group of clergy wives across the US was commissioned to work on bringing us together on a large scale, igniting a flame that perhaps had gotten a little small. We are called the OCA Advisory Group to Clergy Wives. Maybe you’ve read about this endeavor on the OCA website. The DOW is very well represented with three of us on this team, including Matushka Elizabeth Cuneo, Matushka Wendy Cwiklinski, and Protinica Elizabeth Powell.

Here some of our endeavors:

1) We have hosted a couple of Zoom retreats with guest speakers and breakout sessions. The hope is to do this quarterly.

2) The first quarterly digital newsletter for OCA clergy wives has been delivered.
Would you like a copy? We’d love to send you one! You can join the mailing list here:

3) We hope to get you contact information for other clergy wives.

There have been decades of good works through the faith and love of our clergy wives to keep us connected, get us together, and strengthen our bond with one another. Amidst the challenges of the Covid Pandemic, the sorrows and frustrations it has brought, it seems like eons ago that some of us have perhaps had the opportunity to connect with one another. Certainly, we missed seeing each other at our last Diocesan assembly. Perhaps many of us have thought to connect one way or another with our dear sisters in Christ. Let us move forward with this thought and connect with each other once again!

On Monday, April 12th at 7 pm there will be a DOW Zoom meeting for clergy wives.

Sign up here to ensure you get the Zoom link (and so we have some idea of how many are coming):

Let’s connect. Let’s figure out what types of things would work to bring us together.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
