St. Eugene Summer Camp Registration Open

The registration materials for campers and staff for our beloved St. Eugene’s Orthodox Youth Camp being
held July 2-8 at St. Nicholas Ranch in Dunlap, CA near Kings Canyon National Park are now available.

Forms available:
Camper Application Form (to be sent to Kathy Pieracci, our Treasurer) – The Camper’s Medical Forms, Policy
Agreement – NO LATER THAN JUNE 9th. After June 9th, a late fee will be charged. No applications will be
accepted after June 15th. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Staff/Counselor Application Form (to be sent to Fr. Michael Anderson, as Director – postmarked no later than June 1st)

An abbreviated Staff/Counselor Application Form for those who successfully completed the selection process and volunteered at St. Eugene’s Camp 2016.

Camp Packing List

This year for people’s convenience, the applications downloaded here can be filled out on your computer and then printed and sent in.

Cost for camp this year is $385.00 per camper with discounts for siblings (see application for details). You must submit at least the $50 non-refundable deposit (per camper) with your application. On the application you will also notice that we have payment plan to ease the burden on families. You can make payments toward your child’s tuition from now until the beginning of camp. Also, remember camp fees are tax deductible under childcare. On your tax return you can include St. Eugene’s Camp (#95-4705483). If anyone is in need of a scholarship and has not been able to obtain one from his or her parish, please feel free to contact Fr. Michael Anderson or Kathy Pieracci at the information listed on the form. Late fees will be charged for any applications postmarked after June 9th. Remember that you can register your child with a deposit, and then pay off the balance from now until they arrive at camp.

Also, WE NEED COMMITTED AND TALENTED ADULTS TO HELP AS CAMP COUNSELORS AND STAFF. We are especially in need of lifeguards and camp counselors. Please consider giving the gift of your time to the youth of our Church in this important ministry and encourage others to do so, as well. Having the chance to develop healthy relationships with committed and faithful adults is often a key element in helping youth remain in their faith.

If you are interesting in serving as a camp staff member, please contact Fr. Michael Anderson. We need the completed staff application form postmarked by June 1st so we can process the forms, run background checks, make assignments, etc. Please note that all staff must have their application approved by their parish priest. Please spread the word

Lastly, if your parish is not doing so already, please encourage them to have a collection or fundraiser to help raise the funds for much need scholarships, not just in your own parish but for the many families looking for help to send their kids to camp. The funds should be made out to St. Eugene Orthodox Camp and sent to our Camp Treasurer, Kathy Pieracci at 9535 Sun Poppy Way, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. Each year the need increases. We have never had to turn away a camper because of finances. Please help us keep that record!
